1993 century window problems

Hello,
I am hoping for some advise on where to start with my window delima. Front windows are a no go from either door switch but the rear windows work fine from the driver door. Is there a seperate fuse/breaker that would seperate these circuits like that. Maybe a broken wire in door?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Nate:banghead:

Welcome to AF!!

There is only one fuse for the windows. Try switching the wires on the switch to see if the windows work that way. If they do it is a good bet that the switch is bad. If not there is probably a broken wire someplace in the system. One question, does the passenger window go down with the switch on that door? If not then there is a power issue. If it does then you probably have a switch issue. Good Luck!

I should have been more clear on the original post. Passenger door switch is also inoperable. Hoping to dig into it tommorrow. Finally cleaned out the garage today after long winter.:grinyes:

If that is inoperable then you certainly have a power issue. I would check the circuit with a volt meter to see if there is power. It could be as simple as a broken wire. Also take a known source of power and touch it to the window power wire. If the window goes down then you will know if the motor works correctly. This will narrow it down to wiring and not a motor issue.

i had the same issue with my wife 1990 century. check the wires in the door loom. i found 2 broken wires there and after repairing them all was good.
