alright need some help...

when i bought my Civic i was told that it will need a distributor because it still has the same distributor from when he swapped the motor...in the mornings and sometimes during the day the car starts to sputter, more noticable in first and second gear and even while cruising it can feel it sputter some...the guy i bought it from is an 11yr honda tech, but his cutting of the springs leads me to question some of the stuff he say...any help

Have you checked your fuel system?
maybe fuel filter or injectors?

ok, that's what it sounds like...was it doing it more-so in first and second?

went outside and checked the ecu throwing these codes:

Code 4 (4 flashes) Crank angle sensor
Code 8 (8 flashes) TDC position (top dead center) timing

You're running obd0 right? Didn't they only make obd0 integras with the b18a for a couple of years? GL, Blu!

well the problems went away and now they're back...went to start the car and got nothing...no spark no engine trying to turn over, nada...so i'm ordering a distributor right now...also found out it's the same dizzy that was on the original a6, so only 2 bolts are lining up and it seems to have been leaking oil while running, probably the reason there are no traces of oil in my driveway :(

so this is the one i'm ordering

Get a Distributor King. Not much more expensive than that one and from the picture, a lot better quality. Its what I got when I replaced mine and I'm very satisfied with it. They also run upgraded ignition modules since thats one of the weak points in the distributors.

I picked mine up off of eBay as well, shouldn't be too hard to find.
