My name is Mark I just joined today. I currently have an ongoing project that I need help with. I read on the HR website that they did a 4.3 V6 build up, but as I read on, I noticed that the engine they used was a carb motor, not a CPI Vortech like I have. I was woundering if the cam, pistons, lifters and if anybody has a throttle body for the 93' Vortech V6's. Amoung these mods to the motor, I'm doing body mods as well. One of the really cool mods is a 77' Trans Am Shaker hood scoop(I think it would look and be really cool) but the problem I'm running into is that I don't know how I'm going to mount the shaker. I was thinking either a under hood weld or a rivit job. Amoung all the other mods I'd like to do is a T-top set up, is this a good idea or should I just stick with a sun roof instead? I'm also planning to install a Wynjammer 4.3 Vortech Supercharger, I was thinking of a Typhoon type turbo set up. I'm also looking to lower my truck 2' in the front and 2' in the rear. The truck is a 2WD truck so everything that I'd like to do to it should be pretty easy...I think. Wheels and tires are going to be 17' Z-R1 Style Hyper Black rims and Nitto NT555's. I was thinking the snowflake style rims for the truck but I don't think they would fit right. Any help or suggestions on my project would be helpfull. Thanks for your time, hope to get a few response's back.

im pretty sure that you would have to get a fuel injected specific cam for your motor. The carburated versions have a fuel lobe for the mechanical pump on the motor. I like the shaker hood idea too. I think that would be pretty cool
