hey there :)

Whereabouts are you located. For lowering, only whiteline as a choice, the rest are nowhere near as good :)

Pete...you need to get your eyes checked :p he said how low can you go :p

not who to go to :p

legally your car has to be 10 cm or higher off the ground...although many people's cars aren't legal :p

my front bumper is about 8 or 9 cm of the ground...

hey Spunky, do you have any troubles going over speed humps or say pot holes?

do you have to drive your car sideways to get over em? or do you drive normally?

sorry for the question, just worried... and i dont even have a car yet. haha. :p

Howdy!

As mentioned, the lowest part of your car (usually muffler) must be the thickness of a telephone book off the ground (that's what they use to test when defecting). When lowering a lot, check for turns to lock and remember to get revalved shocks or your car will rest on it's bump stops. Get professionally coiled springs too, unless you want to bounce pimp-daddy style all over the road. :lol2:

12g for a 93 Prelude is extremely good value. Most would be pushing it to find an Integra GSi 93 model in good condition for that much.

GL with the car.

sideways ;)

pot holes - avoid :p

what's normal driving :p

avoid certain places...ie..don't park in shopping centre car parks that have ramps, etc....places I know that have big speed humps...

half the time..if you scrape the bumper..it ends up being a flatish driveway..that you understimated lol...

ahehehehe, sideways?
thats horrible
i hate seeing people drive their cars sideways
:D

what other hondas can i get for around 10g -15g?

or any other models? cause im dying for one but its giving me a headache just looking at the trading post every week.
i sit there for like hours trying to figure out which one to buy, and when i decide and call the seller up, its already sold.

And at other times, you see for example a 97 prelude, the new shape ones for like 16 grand!

i called em up and went to their place straight away, and i end up seeing some damaged car that has just been fix. looks perfect from the outside, but when you look at the engine bay you can see the damage done before.

I hate it most when you ask them if its been in an accident, and they lie to you and say it hasnt when you can perfectly see the damage

bloody assholes
=/

well, all my stress is out. hehehe
hope you injoy
:p

Got a Japanese spec '90 VTEC Civic you can have for 12 grand ;)

Otherwise, a nice EG Si Civic or a EF CRX would be in that bracket wit ha bit of change.

Personally, I like the '88-90 Prelude with 4WS over any other 'lude :)

current model preludes are slow..I got held up by a stock vtir last night...good job of revving infront of me...but it didn't move lol...

oh, before you consider the EG remember insurance is a killer for them.

I remember you having all sorts of insurance issues.

thats because the old insurer cancelled my policy without me knowing because of a bungle up by their customer service in regards to a payment.

atleast my car moves a bit better now....

and I don't make people brake half way through 1st gear, if I've been revving at the lights :p

Out of those I'd go the Prelude. The Integra is prob 93 or 94 GSi and the Subaru forum is where the other on beelongs ;)

the teg would either by the LS (2nd gen) or perhaps GSI model of 3rd gen....

you wouldn't find a vtec model for that price unless it was damaged.

92 prelude si, sounds alright price. Liberty is ok, but I think they are heavy though....

don't be in such a rush...test drive a few cars out and see what you like :)

:( Well, all the cars i mentioned are all sold
Had a look at the prelude and its not in good condition
the roof thingo, the material thing ontop... that was loss, so hwne i sat in the car, it was ontop of my head.

And after all that, i wanted to go and see a 180SX for $8,800 but it had a deposit on it.

So now im waiting for a call from this lady, shes selling a Nissan Pulsar SSS 92 model

Its in VERY good condition, inside out, and no damage at all. :d

I offered $9,000, and hopefully i will get it. btw, its an automatic :p

It was in the paper for $10,500 negotiable, you think my offer is aright?

or a bit off?

Spunkymonkey
03-10-2003, 01:57 AM
i think that is an alright offer, but why would you want to get automatic for???

I chopped a triple s, yesterday. It was a p plater, and the funny thing was he was still trying to have a go the next few lights, even though I thrashed him lol.

is there anything else you fancy...you also have to remember about insurance costs as well, are you going to get 3rd party or comprehensive?

pre|ude

lol
chopped a SSS? damn, the integra vtir must go hard aye? well, i got a call form her and the lady told me that the other person offered her 9,800. So i told her i cant afford it.

Damn, i dont want to spend that much on a SSS. :(

automatic? ahehe, because thats the only one that i found that was in a very good condition and was a one owner.
:(

i dont know, i really wanted that 180.

what other cars should i look for? something fast and nice.. i wish i could find a teg vtir for cheap
:(

i drove a Pulsar ET, the old ones! LOL
its was alright! LOVE THE BLOW OFF VALVE! hehehe :D

i dont kow nothing about insurance

im currently on my P's too! hahaha
:p

need a car because im sick of:
a- driving friends car
b- getting a lift
c- using parents car

:)

Spunkymonkey
03-10-2003, 02:12 AM
it all depends on the driver ;)

I've seen many nice cars, with middle aged owners that trudge along, and hold everyone up :p

theres no rush...I'd say...if you can...go to some 2nd hand car yards, and organise some test drives, and sit inside etc...see how comfortable you feel etc....remember you'll be stuck with what you choose for, for a while.

Spunkymonkey
03-10-2003, 02:13 AM
sounds like..you just need a car to get from A - B....then in a few years time, when you save up a bit, you can find a car that you may want to work on, etc.

pre|ude
03-10-2003, 02:21 AM
narh, i want a car that i can do up as well.
thats why ive been looking so hard
:(
if i got the prelude i would have got the cyber kit, etc, new paint.. wheels, etc.

or the pulsar i keep it stock except for the engine i would do a swap and get a SR20DET

make it look sleeperish... hehe :)

and yea... i dont really know.. i get such a headache with all this car business

might as well buy an ex-chaser VS commodore
hehe:D
