02 Envoy XL coolant leak

I have developed a small green coolant leak near the right rear shock. It appears to be coming from some lines leading to a rear heater core of some kind. The strange part is that my coolant levels seem to be up and the colour is red.

Any tips you might have would be appreciated.

It is possible this is ac leak detection dye from your rear ac? Clean it up and see whats what for a source.

Thanks for the prompt response. Now that I think of it, it was more of a green with a yellow tint colour so that could well be AC fluid. Am I correct when I assume there is only one closed loop - in other words, will the whole AC will now be down on its charge?

Thanks...Dave

Sur'nuf, the green leak was freon dye coming from one of the aluminum lines near the rear passenger tire. GM parts alone were estimated at $1,000. Needless to say, I'm going for a splice and hoping it'll work. If not, the kids will be warm cuz I'll decommission the rear A/C.
