To quiet, or kill the door chime in a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. There is different ways to do it, alter switches, ect. But the safest way is to actually quiet the chime itself. That way, nothing else is affected. Go to the Hyundai site, http://www.hmaservice.com/ , click your way to: Shop, Santa Fe, Pick an engine, body electrical, ETACS, Body Control Module, repair procedures. You will now see instructions how to remove the Module. I did not remove the lower panel. Once the module is out, open up the module, it just snaps together. Ground yourself to something to discharge any satic electricity your body may have. On the board, is a small round (3/4") chime soldered to the board. The safest way, is to just mute it, that way, electrically you haven't done anything to the car (warranty). What I did was force a little silicone sealant into the top hole, and then built up a 1/4" layer on top of the hole. The chime still works, you just can't hear it. And now my wife is really happy!!
