I havnt had much time to check around the forum, I am new, i was wondering if anyone has taken the time/money to take off their manual crank windows and replace with the eletric window systems incuding adding the arm wrest extension and putting the controls on the arm rest like it would appear stock. I am considering it, my '95 1500 has power locks but manual windows and I am looking to put money into it. Let me know thanks for your time

I have a complete pw setup for my manual window 92 K2500, but the buttons are on the door panel in the black trim pc that is part of the lever to open the door. My 89 (or 90, can't remember) C2500HD parts truck and my 98 C1500 have factory pw and they are all on the door panel not on the armrest.
I haven't installed the pw yet in the 92, but I have done it on a 73 Caprice rag top and it was pretty easy. On the truck you can add it without changing the door panel if you can't find the correct colour; just add the black trim pc that holds the pw and pl buttons until you find the correct colour panel without the window winder hole.

well, i love my truck, and it will b my only truck 4 at least 5 years till i get out of college n get a gud job, so i dont want to do anything major that could cause problems, mainly i just want to know about wat it requires along the lines of cutting out door frames and that sort of thing

My thought is to go to a "pick-n-pull" salvage yard and find what you need. Like door panels with the switches, window motors, windows, wiring, etc.
Next thing would be a good wiring schematic to make sure all is properly wired, powered and fused like a stock truck with this option would be.
