Server downtime

I am currently at a remote undisclosed location and do not know what took place at the NOC (Network Operations Center) to cause this horrible, horrible, unfortunate travesty.

We apologize for the inconvenience and let's hope this will never happen again.

Remember, if it doesn't kill you, it only makes you stronger.:right:

A followup post will be made when I find out what exactly happened.

Someone stole AF! :) Thankfully, they gave it back! ;)

No problem, Igor.

I have found out the reason for downtime - a backend software had a temporary license and a permanent one was not added.

Sorry for such a long downtime, the issue could have been resolved much quicker and it will be if it ever happens again.

You know, what might help this server is.......Getting rid of the ppl who have been on this site for 9 months or year(s) that have only posted once or twice. I know there are ppl who haven't posted at all. I think they are just a waist of space. Maybe this don't effect the server, but I do know one things for sure....I sure doesn't help it one bit. Just my 2 cents.

The members that do not post do not create a problem for the server speed, as the post's are databased and does not create that much of a load, it is just that when there are several (100's) of members posting at one time or uploading an image(chewing up massive amounts of bandwidth) or huge signature's that sometimes bog the server down.

Have problems that happen now and then.
