What would cause a 2004 Isuzu Rodeo with 60,000 miles with regular maintenance work to tick 6 time and stop running? When the oil is checked nothing show up on the dip stick. No lights light up on the dash. No evidence of a leak, no evidence of oil being burned. Only 3,825 miles into the last oil change.

read the forum about isuzus and oil usage.

it was not suppose to be a problem with the 2004 engines, but maybe it was.

How often did you check your oil in th 3800 miles?

Thanks for the link! I was aware there were issues with older models and buring oil. This is my 3rd Rodeo I have never had any issues with any others. I did not check my oil. It was my understanding that if there was a problem my oil light or check engine light would go on. Guess I might have learned this lesson the hard way. :frown:
