I drive a 94 Pontiac Grand Prix. Today my mom borrowed bottomed it out going up our driveway. Now there is a pipe sticking out the bottom dripping an unknown fluid. It looks damaged. What should I do? Will this affect my transmission or its driving? The fluid doesn't look as dark as oil but isn't exactly clear either. The pipe also looks twisted and like there is a crack in it and it was dripping all over my garage floor.

is there any way you can take a pic of the line that is broken and/or the fluid that is on your garage floor?

it sounds like it may be tranny fluid. if it is...i wouldnt advise you to drive the car. tranny's arnt cheap :headshake

Alright, I figured its the transmission fluid line, now I just need to buy a replacement. Does anyone know what the average cost is for a new or used one? I don't really have that large of a budget as I am a student and all but I really need this car fixed by next week.

well, if its the line that i am thinking about, you can just cut the line on both sides of the damaged part, then just replace it w/ brake line. as long as you have a brake line flare tool.

Alright, I'll see what I can do. I'll post again this weekend when I work on it. Thanks for the help!
