Hello,
I just spent way too much on fuel system and Titus Will still didn't resolve my
99 Silverado's problem. They had it all day , replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, and injectors serviced. At idle, it's missing, then intermittently acts like it hit's the rev limiter, when driving around town at normal city speed limit's and or freeway. Could my transmission or rear end need service? It has 113,000 miles on it. Has always been in for normal maint. intervals since I bought it with 10,000 miles on it. Reason i mention the transmission/rear end, is my ex
wife's AWD Bravada had similar symptoms and to resolve they just replaced the 4 wheel drive gear box fluid, and it cleared up.
Mind you this issue is very intermittent, so not noticeable unless you drive it around, which Titus hasn't done yet. Anyway, thanks in advance, and I'll search around to see what I can find out as far as what could be causing this
problem.**sorry it's a 5.3 1/2 ton 4speed auto shortbox

Just a guess but it might be a computer problem? Im going through a situation with a local dealership garage cause i keep getting knock sensor codes after 2 new ones were installed and if you put a multimeter on them they check out fine, so now they are looking toward the computer. Just a thought if its misfiring and they replaced all fuel components.

Thanks for you input. I've read some around the net, and am going to check
on the crank sensor, the connection wire to ECM & the ECM itself. Then plug wires, coils, & plugs.
It'll be awhile, but will post what I find out

I would remove all plugs and inspect for wear/condition/torque. then I would use ohm meter and measure all wires/resistances.....then look at other areas . like a MAF.../intake leaks/vacuum leaks...etc.....

don't use carb cleaner to find leaks damages rubber gaskets.....
