1991 Geo Metro 4 door 1.0
Passenger side of engine, near intake manifold, there is a sensor, nothing hooked to it on mine. No vacumn line to go to it, just an electrical connection. Anyone have a clue what it is?

Be much more specific!
On the Firewall (possibly the MAP) ?
On the Throttle Body - could be several things....
A digital picture would be worth a thousand words.
Upload the photo to Photobucket or some other photo-hosting site and then
place the IMG link here.

There is a sensor near the wiper motor that isn't used on many cars. I think a coolant sensor for the automatic transmission or something like that, I've seen it mentioned before but can't remember the explanation exactly.

As far as I know the automatics on Metros do not have a temp sensor for the transmission. Not sure about "transmission coolant" - typically autos are cooled by pumping the hot transmission fluid into an oil cooler in the radiator where the heat is transferred to the coolant. More modern autos do use the coolant temp to adjust the shift schedule but the metro auto does not do that.
I too recall seeing an unconnected sensor somewhere - I just cannot reall the location.
