Where is the A/C expansion valve located on a '97 civic?

It should be located on the evaporator unit
(that's the one inside the car)
I don't think it's sold seperatly, I think it comes with
the evaporator unit and is welded on.:smokin:

My manual for my 98 Civic shows the expansion valve as removeable. I quote: "If necessary, remove the expansion valve. NOTE: When loosening the expansion valve nuts, use a second wrench to hold the expansion valve or the evaporator pipe. Otherwise they will be damaged."

OK, that's good to know.
I only looked at a Honda parts list and it appeared to
be part of the evaporator.:smokin:
