i just bought a used 2002 saturn sc2 with 30k. looks mint. was in a rush, since i live in nj and bought the car in ny, so i didn't do a carfax report till after i bought it.
my question is, on the carfax report it says vehicle was in an accident and towed.
" it says the title or registration was issued to the insurance company."
does this mean it was totalled? salvage? they are sending me the title and i have not seen it yet.
also if it is a salvage what is my recourse if the dealer didn't mention it? can i return the car and tell them to shove it?
any help would be appreciated.

Yes it's a salvage and it's not what the dealer mention that counts, it's what on the bill of sale ?
From what you written I will be very surprised if you have a comeback " sorry "

thanks ray!
there is nothing on the bill of sale that mentions salvage or an accident. i called the dealer and he said that it wasn't a salvage and theydon't buy salvaged cars (of course). carfax also says under salvage "guaranted no prob"
according to carfax, the accident was in nj, but i bought the car in ny. maybe they did that to "clear the title". what do you think?
