O.K. This check DCl has been coming on and now the car does not even shift into gear. When the dcl comes on the car seems to misfire or change gears. Does anyone know anything about what might be happening? I had the transmission checked and it is fine.

I'm suspecting some kind of vacuum control.. possibly a dried/cracked hose or connection.

You should definitely read the DCL faults to see what the system has to say.

You can get a copy of my 1992 FSM from my webpage (http://www24.brinkster.com/sdhartney/linc/linc.htm) to help your diagnosis.
