what tail lights should i buy? (pic inside)

I got my car not to long ago and im new to the forum. I just wanted to know what tail lights would look nice with my car.

keep it stock don't buy altezza's you will get flamed hard on hear for them. i don't care if you get them or not. buy some red clears or all clears and paint them yourself.

It's up to you what you want to put there. Do you think clear lights would look good? Can you picute Altezzas looking good there? Not too many people here are fond of them, but it's your car, and your joy. Maybe some or even many might not like it, but if you're happy with your choice, then that's all that matters.

I'd say get the altezza's they totally increase the value of your car as well as get the ladies. Fellow ricers, um I mean racers will admire your car and wish they could be like you. YOU CAN DO IT!!!:hehehe:

i say get them, i have a 4 door and it looks so much better then stock.

Altezzas arent as bad as everyone said im sick of people saying man thats so ricey. Your car should show what you like and be how you want it its up to you but my "opinion" is that the Altezzas look nice on civics and the TYC's are really nice

In my opinion I think that some Altezzas are cheesy and played out (Riced). But I have seen some that look really nice. I say if you can get them to look good on your car; match with color of car, match other exteriors; then by all means you should get them.

i think altezzas are pretty nice im gonna end up getting them most likely

I agree. It boils down to personal taste. Whether or not people call it ricey is irrelevant--what matters is if you're happy with it. If you are, then nothing else should matter. They can cry rice for all they want, but you'll simply be as happy as a clam. :D

Bad example. The Type R engine was designed and based on the B16a which came in the 5th gen hatch and also the Integra and the civic have many similarities and parts are interchangable so........try again.

How bout that Import tuner that had an extremely clean integra/s15 front end conversion? I thought that looked really good.

It was an integra with a Nissan Silivia S15 front end.

I just want to know why a lot import drivers feel the need to do stuff like that. You don't see classic muscle car drivers doing it. If the manufacturer wanted to design the car like that they would. But to each his own I guess. Personally, get the red/clears. They just look cleaner.

That's right! Hmmm You can always turn your red/clears into red/smoked that's what I'm doing... Matches more wtih my car anyways

Ok ... if you want to go the cheap route you can always paint your tails all red, this is what I did because there were many scratches on mine and there are NO aftermarket options available for the 4th gen 4 door.

As far as altezzas go I really like the first gen 92-00 tezzas, but some of the newer ones they have now are really gay. If I ever got a silver 92+ civic I would definitley get some cause I saw one today and it looked sick as fuck.

I like it. I did that with my stocks but changed it back. Looks good on your car though. I'd say go with that. And if you're still stuck on altezza's spray those red too.

Testors Candy Apple Red Translucent paint ... found at your local hobby shop, and I hear it can now be found at walmart also.

hey 9civic5dx, i have the same harvard blue sedan, and i had the 1st gen altezzas for a little while. I dont think it looked that great, and besides i got fed up with seing '85 rusted out corollas and fucking cavaliers that are falling apart and are an ugly color with brand new altezzas in the back..... so i took mine off and sold them. I prefer stock. But whats even better is like most other ppl are saying, get the ones like the 97-00 SI, red with clear. They look clean and u get rid of the ugly amber (at least to me its ugly).
Or paint them all red, its still better than stock and altezzas to my opinion.

As for the comment that somebody made that altezzas arent rice... well nice to see that u like to argue and have a opinion, but ur argument is weak. Altezzas are in a way like type R stickers on stock DX's. The altezzas were first made for and looked good on the IS 300. Now you get every rusted out jellopy driving around with those, trying to look better. They killed it. I used to like altezzas at first, but its too much now. When you overdo something so bad, you just get sick and tired of it, altezzas are now pretty much rice....

Okay I'm sorry. Altezza''s are great. You get alot of respect for that mod. I really appreciate what you people with altezza's do for the import scene. It makes a lot of people look at the import scene and respect it. That's probably why old school muscle cars drivers laugh when they see us, because they respect the money you put into your tailights. Oh and I'm a hater? I think that people ruining the import scene for others with whack ass wings and yes altezza's are haters. I think that things were better for us befor that stupid movie came out and APC was even founded. But yes THANK GOD FOR APC AND THEIR WONDERFUL ALTEZZA'S!!!!!

hah exactly, phuck APC, and as far as the movie goes, it served its purpose: to promote aftermarket parts, too bad it backfired in the form of massive sales of altezzas, windshield sprinkler lights, and neon fucking exhausts :(

Hell, like what most people here said, it's their choice, and it looks like they're happy about it. Nothing you can do about that. Until the next wave of fad comes along, most will be happy about it.

And why do people do conversions and mods? As my friend, who sells jewelry, said, it's nice when you dress up someone or something: you see the change. The car looks new, and with engine mods to go with it, runs like new as well. Most people go into some type of bandwagon anyway--it just happens that, because this is a Honda forum, people here then go for mods and conversions.

can tail lights for a 2 door 95 civic fit on my 95 4 door civic? I have been looking all around to try and find lights for my car but it seems to be a lil harder.

They might I dunno. And what about engine swaps? Those are pretty popular aren't they, kinda like the new fad?

on 21 psi why should you be have 450hp b16ej1? if you do you must have one crazy engine. you would have to run about 9.5:1 compression or more to put out 450hp on 21psi of boost. obviously you havent seen too many turbocharged cars and their dynos. youd be lucky to break 400hp on a street driven turbocharged motor with only 21psi:rolleyes:

like i said Pnoi Q it is possible but i dont think it would be the most reliable engine either. lower the compression a little and turn the boost up a little. its much safer.

Really??? This exact turbo kit was previouly on an LS VTEC fully built and dyno'd at 510 hp and clocked low 10's on th 1/4 boosting 20 lbs and is now in my friends GSR.:rolleyes:Oh and you say "ONLY" 21 lbs of boost and street driven. First of all 21 lbs is not a small amount on Honda motors and second is no where near streetable.
