simple question

very easy question to all you pros, i cant figure out my engine, as in what it is I see that it is a "16 valve" on valve cover and all but i can't find the exact specs of it, i had another civic (dx) and the info was on the under side of the hood but the previous "rice" owner painted the under side of the hood black (20hp increase naturally) anywayz i was wondering what is the most common engine in a 91 civic cx 2 door hatchback 5 speed and also where i may find out where another sticker or engraving of what the engine is anywhere on the car.

look for the engine code on the front of the engine block, on the tranny side. should look similar to "D15B1" or whatever... that will tell you what engine you have, then you can do some research on here as to how much power you have, mods you can do, etc.
