My car doesnt have a Heads Up Display, now my problem is that i want one. Does anyone know where i can get one of those, do they make aftermarket kits or anything? if i somehow find one from a junkyard, how does it wire up and such. Any info would be nice, thanks!

You didn't say what car you had, so I'm going to assume it's a '94 Supreme, since that's the only HUD-capable model I owned..

In my case, ripping the dash apart DID show that the cables were there (connectors and all) and that installing the HUD was as simple as acquiring one and plugging it in. *THIS MAY NOT BE THE CASE FOR EVERY '94 SUPREME*.

I've never seen an aftermarket one, not that they don't exist, I just never looked. My source has always been the junkyard, but more and more common are 'online junkyards', where they are goin' high tech, heh.. (recently purchased some '98 Jeep GC parts this way as none of the local yards had what I needed). A quick poke around however will tell you whether your harness is there waiting for a HUD not. :)

sounds good, mine is a 93 supreme, i'll look and see one day if the connectors are there. do you know where they should be located. and maybe what they look like?

This dude added one to his '89.. Quite similar I'd expect, though note his '89 was not prewired.

If i do somehow get this to work...would it make a difference if i have an analog display, not digital. im not sure if it needs a different signal or somethin or if its all the same

It is quite possible, but I'm not sure to be honest.. Mine had digital panel. I could easily see though them not using the same cable harness for the analog cars, though keep in mind it's sometimes easier to lay it all during assembly than to make so many manufacturing variations. But IMO it would lower your chances of success a bit..

I was wondering if the HUD's are available for any of the later model cutlass'es.

Incase anyone is interested. I looked up some wiring diagrams for the HUD unit, as well as the Insturment cluster. i found all the same wires going into the cluster are the same that go into the HUD. therefore even if there is no connector, splicing and connecting wires should make everything work just fine.....even with an analog gauge set. As i get more money and time. i'll get around to trying it out, and i'll post up here for anyone who is interested!

Maybe i'll even take some pics and write some step by step stuffs down...lol
