4.6 Exhaust Question

I have a '94 4.6L 'Bird and I want to be able to hear it. I have changed the wires, plugs, and filter and the she sounds different already. However, I want to hear it, but I also don't want it to sound like every other Mustang or pickup truck on the street. The system down from the cats looks to be stainless, so I am not going to mess with that. In the past, my mind has been set on a pair of Flowmasters, but I think I might do something different. I heard a first gen 350 Camaro the other day and it sounded gorgeous. As it turns out, the owner did not have any mufflers on it, just resonators. I am having a hard time finding information on resonators without also hearing about mufflers. Does anyone know ANYTHING about this topic or someone who might?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum beano1ill. There have been people in this forum that have removed the mufflers to get a louder sound from their Birds. I was waiting and hoping they would respond to your question and tell you how loud the car is now. If you remove your mufflers be sure to do it in a way that you can put them back on in case Johnny Law doesn't like the sound! You can do a Google search for exhaust resonator to get some info. Here is one place. http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/Miscellaneous/exhausttheory.htm
