painting masks/decals

i know that they make sticker printer paper, and i got photoshop...
if i were to use it to make a design on a car what would be the best way..

example: cut out the part needed to be a different color and paint the whole car the color needed for the thing printed out
then when dry put the design where needed and then paint the whole car the main car color???

thats the opposite way my TC3 was painted so i was thinking that it might work(rc bodies are painted on the inside if you didnt know)...??

I know what you mean. Okay go to an art shop and get some flisk masking paper. print out the design and use the flisk paper to trace it and cut it out and stick it on the model. paint the base color of the car then peel away and start painting the area that was mask off once done clear coat it.
