ther is fuses of course in the dash, and fuses behind the radio, nad fuses in the engine bay. Just a thought. It also might be that switch the is in the door that shuts the radio off when you open the door. Just some possibilities.

I'm going blind.. I've been searching the net for a clue on this problem but it's not out there.. My Haynes manual doesn't help...Does ANYONE have a clue of what's going on? Other then the inside and relay fuses in the engine, are there any others? Not sure if I mentioned this but my power windows don't work either.. Both went out at the same time... help me or put me out of my misery.. I'm like a dog with a bone when something is wrong.. I can't stop trying to fix it until it's fixed.. yep obsessive behavior problem.

I am now in the hunt for this solution as well. My stereo will now not com on, but the amp remains on and is inducing alternator noise. Along with the fact that I can here my power windows through my dash...YES, ISAID my DASH. It sounds like a relay is tgoing out in my steering column, or behind the dash. When I press the triger on the drivers side window, a annoying noise comes from behind the dash. Any ways, If you have found a solution please reply.

Hi Race ghost. I finally took my car into the chevy dealer after I had changed out all the fuses and researched and researched this problem. I had it down to a couple of possibilities, but I didn't want to hit and miss becasue the parts are not returnable. The first one I thought of was the Body Control Module. cost was 120.00 the other could have been the ecm or who knows what .. point is I could have put a lot of money into it before I figured it out so I wimped out and took it to the dealer. 5 days and 609.00 later they had it fixed by replacing the body control module. I don't think this is your problem by your description.
