Hi there,
I have a 1998 chev pickup-5.7 v-8 engine 350.The engine will not start,I have replaced the dist.,rotor,dist.cap,plug wires,coil,pickup coil,modual and plugs.it has good compression,has fire,getting fuel and set timing on tdc.--someone please tell me why this truck won!t run.

Not Champion spark plugs I hope....
I had an ignition module bad that would only hit on every other cylinder. or every 3rd cylinder anyway...

I think you might have set the timing 180 degrees off. This is a common mistake when rebuilding an engine and have done it myself. Usually you will get a slight backfire. Try turning the distributor slightly if it don't start try moving it 180 degrees.
If you have compression spark and fuel + air it should run.
