timing belt idlers

Wow what a noise. I first thought it was my powers tearing pump. But no it was a timing belt idler. Ball bearing balls all over the place. When it backfired and died I knew it was timing. I ordered a new belt kit off eBay $85.00 NAPA $360.00 AutoZone $215 etc. $85 not bad for a belt and four idlers. I watched this forum for two years and never saw anything about that idler pulley bearing going. Water pumps yes. Back on the road again soon I hope I didn’t bend a valve. 96-legacy wagon. Snowmobile hauler to the mountains. 168000 miles and going strong
