My 550 body isn't as clean as that one. There is zero gloss to the casting, it will take a good bit of sanding over thick primer to get it ready for decent paint. I wouldn't feel so bad about it had I not overpaid for one via Ebay. Too many of them got on Feebay for way over Jimmy's list price for the kit. Caveat Emptor...
Glad I had purchased a 356 parts kit years ago, and had a 356A Speedster and convertible, for both rear vents. That's what sucks about Jimmy's kit, you really need two parts cars, just for one extra flippin' vent (you need two). Doesn't make a lot of sense. Couple that with the odd tail design that's nowhere near prototypical, and I don't feel like making a replica, but something more like a kit car.

Then I wont tell you that I paid 10 bucks for mine at a vendors table in a modeling contest, oups I said it:banghead:
I didn't realize about the rear vents, well, I still have to get the donor kit.
And what is about the tail design? Is it that bad? I haven't had the time to check pics to compare
