cruise control

97 nissan gxe
the light comes on but the compter does take over. what is the deal?

You mean doesn't takeover?? Cruise control on vehicles normally won't work until 45mph. If it plain out won't work, check for a loose connection.

it don`t mater what speed you do the curise don`t work, you can click it on the green light comes on but when you go to set the seep the computer does not take over or set it self.:bloated: :devil: :devil: :devil: :devil: :devil: :devil: :devil:

How long have you had the car? Was it working before and now won't work? I can't figure out how to set some makers cc's but in both nissan's I own, they are pretty simple.

There should be 2 buttons you need to press to get it to take over. One to initiate or turn on the cruise, the 2nd you push when you get to the desired speed.

I am not trying to make you feel stupid if you already know this, but it is a possibility. I see you own a ford, so maybe you only need 1 button for fords. I don't know.

i `ve had it for awhile it use to work one day when i wanted to use it it did`nt work. the light comes on but afther that it does nothing i used it few times i know how it works but now it don`t work. the fords or a little diffrent but not much.:devil: :devil: :devil: :devil: :devil: :devil: :devil: :(

that happens some times i have a 85 stanza and my cruise stoped working too i never took it to a tech to see why i just did not worry about it. I hear that it happens to some nissan cars model year before like 99
