4th Gen Photochop Contest

Alright, here it is. In this thread will be the original pic that we are all to work with. The deadline will be set for March 8th. Once on March 9th I will start up a new poll thread and put everyones chops in it without anyones name on them at that time. Once the voting has ended I will go back and put everyones name on their chop.

This thread will be here for either suggestions on how the contest should be ran, or just to tell me if you are working on an entry, but DO NOT POST YOUR CHOP HERE pm your entry to me.

yea, the size and quality isn't the greatest, but we are all going to have that against us, and its really not that bad, still should be able to see some interesting and good chops.

Also, Is it alright with everone if the Graphic Manipulation people get in on this too? I see nothing wrong with it, give us some more competition.

If this contest goes well, We can have another contest with either a CRX or the sedan, or we can have 2 more contest one for each one of them.

Oh man have I got some great ideas. If someone can find a good quality pic to work with, we could use it before its too late. Hatchin, how good of quality is your pic?

I realized what you all meant by how bad of quality that pic is, hopefully we can get another good pic quick. If it takes too long I might extend the deadline.

Anyways, I will do my best to bust out a decent shopp ... still learning, but I have the basics down decently good.

i sure hope we don't get a new pic, i've put too much time into the one i'm doin now... i'm not too good, but this pic should be nice since i have nothing to do all weekend :) home on a saturday nite on hte computer, i need a life :)

i agree, even tho the pic sux, since most of us have started on it anyway, just wait till the contest is over then we will get something better.

yea, the pic will stay, i finally started work on it and its really not that bad once i start messin with it.

If we have any problems with someone not making the deadline, I will give you an extra day, but that is only if you can't make it by the first deadline. I don't know if AF being down will mess anyone up or not, but this is just incase it did.

Hey what do we win? Its a contest right? I need a new tach so why dont you throw in one of those nice $300 5" autometer with shiftlight and memory and Im in... Otherwise its just a waist of time.

You got some money to throw in? I don't. I thought about getting one of the mods in on getting some stickers or something. But I doubt anyone wants AF, or 4thgererationcivic.com stickers

So how is everyone doing on their chop? I almost got mine done, just a few little touch ups left.

Also, does anyone have anything against the Graphi Manipulation group joining in on this?

mine is coming, not as fast as i wish i could, but its slowly progressing, i'm doing a lot of planning, probably too much :)

Well mine is done, just have to wait until the deadline to bust it out.

There are a few people that have seen it already, but they didn't get to see the finished product. I will make them wait until we start voting to see the finished chop.

Also, i hear no one objecting, im gonna invite the Graphic Manipulation boys in on this, see what they can come up with.

I'm gonna be in on this too hopefully, i just started tonight and made some good progress since about 6:30 ish, maybe 7, and its 8:35 now, i even had time 2 bitch at the ex lmao. well, cant wait till the time comes, and I gotta PM this pic 2 u right? i'll hafta shrink it ALOT cuz its 555kb right now :( maybe i Can just e-mail u the pic? hit me up on PM with it and i'll send my pic on the 7th prolly for u

its kinda like it might end up as a popularity contest... some ppl who dont do the chop might see that thats urs and like u better then other ppl and vote just cuz its u, i dunno, just my .02 on that. not that it matters lol

hey tony, how about this for another idea. Get a pic of a honda regular picture, and chop it, then get people to turn that choped picture, and see if they can get it back to what the origional picture lookd liked

Mike: Because I see how some of the contest over on the Graphic Manipulation board, and a lot of them don't turn out right because everyone will start postin their pics quick, and it becomes a popularity contest. Much like how i did on the Enzo Challenge. :devil:

Well, Jay, I was gonna have it to were you couldn't put your name on the pic, and i wasn't gonna say whos is who, but when i got done with mine, its a dead giveaway to whos it is, and it don't look as tight without the hints, so I lifted that rule. But I trust most of the people on here to not make it as much of a popularity contest and actually vote for which chop they think is best, or like the best.

alright, thats cool, just try and keep the pic out of here. Try to keep all/most of the chops secrets until the voting starts. I don't mind showing a few people, because I did, just to get opinions on how things looked.

alright, i will put up whatever pic i get from anyone last, such as you have already sent me one, a few other people have also, if they send me another one, that last one will go up come voting time.

8th as of right now, if it ends the 8th, i will start the voting on the 9th, just depends how many entrees i get if i leave it at the 8th, if there aren't many, i wille xtend until next tuesday or wednesday, somewhere around there.

cause it doesnt give you there email addy, it brings up a thing like a pm window and it sends it to their email.

When you submit your entry, also tell what all was done to it, much like Mike's...I wanna be like mike...sorry did that slip out, lol...This way you can list what all has been done, just incase people didn't realize it at first, then they will see it.
