My daughter hit a pot hole large enough to blow out the front rt tire. Since then the yellow ABS and red brake "idiot" lights have been on. Any suggestions on what to check would be appreciated.

my first thoughts would be to check your wheel speed sensors and the wiring to them on that side make sure they are connected and/or you may have abad wheel speed sensor now

Yep, and inspect the tone ring on the halfshaft for cracks or missing teeth.
You could also have the ABS codes read using an ABS scan tool. A standard engine scan tool will not be able to read the ABS codes.

If the car is obd1 with the data connector under the hood, which I believe it is, There should be 2 data connectors under the hood at the firewall. 1 for engine system and another for the abs system. These codes can be retrieved with an older style obd1 ford code scanner or with a test light in a manner similar to retrieving engine codes.
