Best Place for a Jack Stand

Usually whenever I've had to jack this car I used the k-frame or rear axle bar.
However now that I have to put the car on jack stands I'm not sure where to put the stands. Here's where the manual says the jack point is:

As you can see, the 5 inch mark is in kind of an odd location and I'm not sure how the factory jack could be used there. You can make out one of the spot weld dimples just to the left. Should I just use a piece of 2 X 4 under there along the body seam? I don't want to screw up the sheet metal there if I can help it.

use the reinforced area where the bolt is.

I should count my lucky stars I've never had a flat with this car. I put a piece of 2x4 diagonally across both the bolt and the raised seam with the jack under the bolt part. So far so good. :smokin:
