Track Bar

I have a 97 dodge ram 4x4. 1/2 ton. The trackbar and Left side front wheel bearing needs to be replaced. I'm thinking about tackleing the track bar myself. Doesn't look that difficult to do. Has anyone ever replaced one? If so, how hard was it to do. And the wheel bearing. I have a haynes repair manual and they suggest taking it to a repair shop to have the bearing replaced. Thanks for the help. Also should i go with the lifetime trackbar? i've heard its very common for them to keep going out.
