If you are speaking of AIRAID spacer's we use them at work quite a bit, I know they have a great effect on the new silverados, but have not heard anything about for the older 4.3 engines, better air induction is a great start for improving performance and economy.

If you have any technical questions you should contact AIRAID directly.

Anyone out there actually have one of these that can give paul a hands on opinion.

My brother used to have a 2000 Chevy S10 Extreme 4.3liter. He had an Air Raid TBI Spacer, JBA headers, Borla Exhaust, K&N CAI, and Hypertech PP. This combination some how made his truck sound like the blowoff valve was being used, even though he didn't have a turbo. We would pull up to imports and vettes and stuff, and they would slow down (we were on the highway) and we would keep going b/c they thought he had a turbo. It would pppsssssssss and then they would disappear (good sight to see). I would get the TBI spacer, I think it is part of a good combination that works very well. hope this answers your question, if not go ahead and ask again (lol).

hmm...

sometimes the spacers whistle, as i've seen here at work.

they do pose a problem when used with K&N intakes though, as they put the intake pretty close to the hood.

they're worth it though and make good power, and i've had quite a few people tell me about the mileage increases they get
