i just recently bought a '00 ford taurus and every time i drive over a crack, hit a speed bump i hear a squeaking noise that comes from the front end. the guy at the dealer ship said that it was the struts, but i am hearing other things from friends. so, if any one has any idea on what it could be help me out before i pump a grip of money into replacing something that does/doesnt need to be replaced.

Could be a rubber bushing in the lower control arm or could be a strut that has leaked too much oil in the dampening cylinder. I would get a can of WD40 and spray every rubber bushing in the suspension. Try to get it to make the squeak by having an assistant rock the chassis. Maybe that way you could isolate it. Check the struts for oil leakage.
