10k? That's a lot. Here's the thing you want to know right now before anyone else tells you. You do not want a fast car for your first car. You want a car that you'll be comfortable with learning to drive well. But, and there's a but, if you like high performance sports cars already I would suggest getting anything with a manual transmission. When you're a sports car enthusiast, it's no fun driving an automatic.
As for WHICH car, you can afford a LOT with 10k so it comes down to what you like, just make sure it's not fast.

well the reason i get 10 grand is because my dad is selling his old bmw 330ci...and hes willing to give me 10 out of the overall gain of him selling it if i get all a's....which i hopefully plan on getting. I learned to drive in the 330, and also learned in his e46 m3, so i have some experiance with fast cars. i was thinking of something in the early 90's....300zx...3000gt...or in the 80's....like an rx-7..if i can find a 67 camaro for that price, thats probably what ill try to get....and i totally agree with the manual trans....i learned to drive stick on my friends 85 rx-7...nice truck by the way! and thanks for the advice
