Help, Code P0193

I have a 2003 LS Sport V8 with K&N CAI and this morning got a check engine light. Took it over to AutoZone and the code was P0193 (Fuel Rail Pressure Circuit High Input). AutoZone cleared it for me, but does anyone know what this is and is it detrimental to the engine if it does not get fixed. Also, is this something that I can fix or does it go back to the dealer to fix it.
Has anyone else had this code and what was their fix for it?

Thanks
John

According to the factory service manual, possible causes for this code are as follows:

FRP signal shorted to VREF or VPWR.
FRP signal open (gasoline only).
Damaged FRP sensor.
Damaged PCM.FRP is Fuel Rail Pressure. Depending on your tools and skills, you could do any of these except fixing/replacing the PCM. The PCM would need to be programmed to the other modules it interfaces with and will require tools from the dealership.

Thanks, I need to take it in to get its 60K checkup anyways. I have an extended warranty on the car and it covers the engine, tranny, etc. I hope that this will be covered under that warranty.

Depending on the fine print, I would expect the fuel system to be part of the engine, and the FRP sensor would not be a "routine maintenance" item.
