Hey everyone, I have an 87 B12 sentra and its got a carb on it, I want to upgrade it to a twin cam 1.6L from B13 chassis, has anyone on here have any info of what all I'll need and how to convert the wiring? Right now there are 7 or 8 B12s and B13s in the junk yard near me, so I am considering the conversion since I can get everything for about 500 or so. Any help would be great thanx..:feedback: :runaround:

you need-
motor, transmission, ecu, probably custom axles, all the wiring, dashboard(a DOHC timing system will not run a SOHC tach, and the speedo might or might not work, depending on if its a cable speedo in both cars or not. and if they read the same size gear or not.), entire fuel system rework, fuel tank modification to account for a FI pump and return system, and figure out how the mounts will work. and you will probably not be able to use a/c or power steering. oh and a radiator that will both fit in the b12 and be enough to cool the bigger motor. i would call a radiator company, give them the dimensions and outlet locations you need, and see if they have a part # for a different(thicker) application that will fit. if not, just see if they have one thats thicker but the same size and get custom hoses. and you may then need some thin electric fans also.
