'94 blower fan issue

Have a intermittent problem with my blower motor: On cold mornings it won't always turn on. If I raise the hood and give the housing a good whack, it comes right on. If it's above 60 or warmer, no problems. I'm thinking the motor bearings are shot and the cold just brings on the problem more evident. Just wanted to know if anyone else had a similar problem?

Thanks

No, but I'll offer the warning that the housing on ours ('96) is cracking / crumbling - one whack too many and you might break it! Or maybe they changed the plastic for the '96 to something that doesn't last as well.

Mine is doing the same, it already has pieces missing and I can actually see the motor! That's another reason I suspect the motor is shot.
