help: 99' chevy won't start

My car wont start! The check engine, battery, and oil lights remain on once the key is turned to the start position. My alternator is fairly new and the lights on the car comes on. Some of the componets in the car are operating very weak. I tried to jump start my car but it did nothing. can any help me to find the problem? do you think it could be my starter? Please help, your help will be greatly appreciated.
