I posted this in the GMC forums and did not get much help there

My problem started when I started getting black smoke from the exhaust so i thought change the spark plugs which were very fowled just to get it home .

but still black smoke so i changed the fuel injectors still hard to start so to make a long story short .

I have replaced : the spark plugs, the wires distributor, rotor, the ignition coil,EGR solenoid ,and fuel injectors and it still won't start .

I'm getting spark and fuel and compression .

Please help

thank you for your time

Black smoke=running rich. Pull a spark plug and see if there's gas on it (there probably will be). Check the Engine Coolant Temp sensor. If the computer is seeing too low a temperature, it will put more gas in because less gas evaporates for combustion at lower temperatures. Did you try cranking it in flood-clear mode (WOT)? That may get it to start if it is flooding.

I'm sorry but did I miss some thing ???

I know what the black smoke means .

I am now tiring to get it to start after i changed the injectors i got it to run and did a code check that's when i changed the EGR solenoid.

now today when tried to start it it truns over but dies . and yes i will let everyone know what the fix is once i get going.

thank you
