new guy here,
i have a 06 silverado w/ the bose system. i have an aftermarket stereo, its a jvc dvd player. i wanna know if i can hook up the subwwoofer to this stereo. i have all the speakers hooked up, but not the sub. i kinda wanna put back the original stereo on, but this jvc sounds good, however missing the low frequency. any help will help, thanks.;)

integrating aftermarket and OEM stuff is challenging at best. The factory sub must have some type of amp it's connected to.

often times, thatg is the easiest (or only) real option. The amp for the sub will not be very powerful, assuming you can tap into it .... and the amp for all the other speakers is built into the headunit. Even more sinister is the fact that all too many OEM systems these days have a built-in EQ circuit designed to tune the factory stuff. There are only 2 or 3 boxes like the JL cleansweep that can really flatten it, and they are NOT cheap.
