98 taurus won't shift into OD

I have a 1998 taurus with a 3.0 and a AX4N trans. Car runs fine, shifts great, not hard, but will not shift into overdrive. It seems like it is just dosen't have another gear. It will still pull hard when you accelerate with no slippage. I have checked all connections and found no problems. There are no codes. Checked fluid and was not burnt or low. Decided to chang fluid and filter anyway but this did not help. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
