I have a 2001 Venture WB edition. When I bought it it had about 65000 miles on it and after 3 days it started shifting really hard so I took it back to the dealership and they said the tranny was going out. So they paid to have it rebuilt. Well now it has been a year and about 15000 miles on it, and about 3 months ago it started to shift kinda rough again. Not nearly what it was before, but rough none the less. I can not figure out why it is doing this, and the dealership wants $150 just to look so I figured I would come here first. Please help!

With all the eletronics that conrtols the transmission, it may not be the transmission at all. If the dealer that sold it to and fixed it wants that much to just look at it I'm sure there not going to do you any favors if something needs to be fixed. Better to take it to AAMco or Cottman or somebody like that. The only time I had trouble with our 99 Venture shifing hard was when the dealer did it's first Tranny fluid change, it came back shifing hard. When i brought it back they appologized and said that there was something(I forgoet what) that needs to be reset when you do a fluid change so something that has to do with shifting realises there is new fluid. Not sure if they were blowing smoke but it never did it again and it just turned 200k.

Sounds like a unique problem. My 2001 with 150,000 kms, (amost 100,000 miles) has never had an issue, and I have not had the transmission fluid changed that I can recall.
