Window motor Help

1983 Caprice classic, Well my front window will not go back up so one is stick down the other up, the question is the one that is stuck down i took it off with the two bolts to put the window up so no rain would get in, but how do i replace the window motor now??? i was told i can only do it with the window up. should i just take the whole thing out track and all? plus the connetors for the window switch are broke and the one for the power seats where could i get a replacement from if no junk yard around.
