Cruise control switch

How do i remove the airbag cover to gain access to cruise control switch on my 02 grand am. The switch is broken. I have looked for screws on the outside of the steering wheel but see nothing. So do i have to remove the cover? If so do i just pull on it...after disconnecting the neg?

There are screws that go through from the back (that is to say front of the car) of the steering wheel. Usually you must rotate the steering wheel to access them. Don't forget to disable the airbags!

YEah I would pull the neg. battery terminal and pull the air bag fuse.

You'll need a #30 torx bit to remove the 2 screws.

Is your cruise on/off button broken ?
