I'm customizing a '48 F1 over spring break. Got a buddy making Moon Discs for the wheels, and a gas tank for the bed. Gonna be making a wood bed floor for it, chopping the top and finish lowering it. My camera died and I dont have any recent pictures. I'm also gunna be chopping the roof. Has anybody here welded diecast or soldered it?

I'm going to be painting it aswell.
I may attempt a suicide door conversion..

Well, I got the roof chopped, did it with JB weld instead of actually welding it. Now I gotta sand it down and do the doors.

It is a die cast. I'd bet it was a maisto, or something similar.

I don't have any problems with people modding their die cast models in this section, but others do. There is a die cast section in the Automotive Art section. I bet you'll find a LOT more information on customizing these models than in the plastic model forum.

I had found the diecast forum but now I can't lol. I'm getting a new camera soon so I'll take some pics.
Edit.. I found it..
Uhh... umm.. Oh, yes...
Yes, it is a Maisto or however you spell it.
