Bending resin

Hi, this is not exactly car related, but I have no experience with resin and I know plenty of people here do.

I am building a resin figurine kit for a friend, and the figure has a long sword. The sword is meant to be straight, but the one with the kit was really bent. Is there some way to straighten it out without breaking it?

Resin responds very well to very hot, but not boiling water. Hot tap water may be enough.
