ABS Module Rebuild

I have been troubleshooting my ABS light for some time now. Sometimes the light is on and sometimes it is off. My mechanic cleaned all the ABS sensors about a month ago but it did not remedy the problem. He seems to think that it is the module.
Would it be worth my time to have the module rebuilt for $200. It comes with a 5 year gaurantee on the rebuild. It would be rebuilt by the ABS Module Master Company.

Had mine done a couple years ago(2001 Hoe). At the time I didn't know that the module could be rebuilt. It cost around $870.00 at the time from the dealer, even then they knock off $150.00 so they said because it was a few months out of warranty. I found out later that Module Master were doing the modules for $150.00 plus warranty. If I do it over again,I will have it rebuilt. If you can go without your ABS for a while, have it rebuilt.

I would do some proper testing first.
A good tech with a good ABS scanner should be able to pinpoint the problem not just think something may be the problem.
Find out for sure before throwing parts at it.
If any codes post back code no.
But of it is the module some places rebuilt the module/computers with good luck.
And 200 is a lot cheaper than 850$

I agree with MT2500 as he always has decent advice. What I failed to mention in my post was the problems that I was having when my ABS module failed. The ABS motor on the module was running continusely running, even with the vehicle turned off, pulsating in the petal and ABS light continusely on. As MT2500 said get it properly scanned before replacing or rebuilding. If showing codes, please share with the rest of us.

What kind of issues, what year Tahoe??, The fuse for the ABS 1999 and later models is located in the large black fuse box behind the battery, think it's top left row, 60 amp on left side.My problem was on my 2001 ,the constant ABS motor running, even when vehicle was turn off.Had to pull the fuse to get it to shut it down until repaired.
