Welcome to AF!
Im not really sure on how much boost the 4g64 motor will take. VG runs about 8-10psi I beleive with no problems. It will be a lot faster. Make sure you know what your getting into. Turboing a car is a lot of work and requires a good bit of knowledge to make everything work correctly. Do your research and you should be fine.

Ive been running about 9 psi on mine with a 14b with no problems. And yes, turbo with supporting mods on your car, will make it alooot faster.

Yeah dude, talk to vanillagorilla about that. SilvrEclipse turbo'd a 420a and I am sure he can be of help too. I'd for sure leave it at the WG spring pressure though, I wouldnt go more than 8 psi.

Yeah but in order to run low boost your going to have to rely on something more than the factory internal wastegate. I tried running mine on internal wastegate and it would want to boost to like 13psi, so thats why I'm currently converting to External wastegate. Im running a Tial 38mm external wastegate with an 8psi spring.

i ran 6=7 lbs on my 420A with 450ccs and a 190 lph... no problem. ive heared u can get about 8-9lbs outa a 4g63 with jus fuel system...

You should be able to get ahold of like a 5 psi spring... and IIRC they arent expensive or hard to change.

Yea I didn't have much luck with an internal wastegate either. It ended up costing me the motor. It either wouldn't shut all the way or it wouldn't open much

Good luck with the process. I would actually like to see a turbo build thread in the project section with pics of the whole process.
