whats up everyone my name is Nick. This will be my first post here.

So i finally got a run at an awd car. It was a 2005 wrx. We ran from maybe 40 to 90 and i pulled about a car and a half. Then from a 25 i pulled about 4 up to 90. He didnt want to go from a dig im geussing because he cant launch.

A decent driver would probably pull a car length on you to about 25 mph. Then you'd have only three car lengths on him by 90. Watch out for WRX's with a FMIC, though!

Nice kill, by the way. Those '95's are great cars.

There is a guy locally with a stupid fast STI, that, oddly enough, as the full WRX "coversion" so its a bit sleeperish. He raced a C6 with some bolt ons once and I'm pretty sure it was spraying, and it was an interesting race.

Start:
-> Scooby
-> Vette

Launch:
--------------------->
-->

Really starting to get rolling:
------------------------------------------------------------------------->
------------------------------>

Around 115-120ish:
---------------------->
------------------------------------------>

End of race:
------------------------------->
---------------------------------------------------------->

hey dude: nice run... jsut to let you know from experience: its a lot harder to launch a awd car than you would think...i have a civic, and i didnt think it would be a ton different launching my buddy's 3000gt tt.... its ridiculously different....

Step 1: Rev to 3500ish
Step 2: Lift foot of clutch
Step 3: Go.

For launching that vr-4 it would probably be more like 5-6000 then drop it lol

Nice race man. A friend of mine has a wrx and has been insisting on racing me

cassiesman: i wish it were that easy... and yea torched is more along the track of what you really have to do.... launching at 3500, just gets major bogging.....

One day I hope. I raced a modded one the other week but it started at about 30. Would have been cool to see his launch cause he was pretty quick from a roll.

When I launched the 90 Galant, the trick is getting the revs high enough to build boost, then keeping them high enough to not lose the momentum, and not burning the clutch up completely

It is MUCH harder than it looks, unless you feel like breaking stuff. Then it is easy.

Not like I need to worry about launchi g on it though. I think itll stomp most from a good roll.
