I have an issue going where when I turn on the blower fan the headlights will turn off. (Alarming when driving down a snowy country road at night). The blower does not work. 1 thru 5. I replaced the resister and the blower last year. Also, just replaced the MFS (another used one) in the steering column to address a different issue (wiper fluid pump inop).
I can manually turn the headlights on but I cannot get the blower to turn on at all. Note: I am hearing a clcking sound in the steerring column when I turn on the blower. Also, this issue started off intermittent and is now getting worse (no blower operation at all)
Any ideas

you need an ignition switch/harness assembly. Check the tips and maintenance sub-forum for replacement proceedure.

Yep! Had that same prob with my '01 GP GT. Blower, headlights, and driver information display would all go out if you turn the fan on 1 through 4. 5 is connected strright throught o the battery. Its fairly simple to do, good luck.
