What a Pain

OMG...what a pain it is to get a lug nut off of a strpped stud. Here is the story......I was gonna do the suspension work on my accord. Well I got the back drivers wheel off and I went to the pass side and 3 of the 4 lugs came off. The 4th one just spun. so I was like WTF. So I hit it with the impact and still nothing. So my buddy and I were like huh......Lets DRILL it out. (Now you have to keep in mind that I have 17's on there right now. And that the last time this happened to my buddys car we had to cut the wheel off.) So we star to drill it out and 4 hours later we have gotten no where. So I came up with this really good idea. Time to get the torch. So very carefully I heated that bitch up and then when it was red hot we drilled it again. Did that for about another 2 hours. Then I knew what was nessary. So I lit up the torch and heated the lug and stud then got the air hammer and broke it off. when we did that it hit the wheel and dinged it. But it is off now so thats cool.

Damn, that sucks man, well glad to hear you got it off!!

Shoulda just invested in a nut cracker..... saves time & property.

Same thing happened to me, cost me a wheel. The nut cracker idea is good, never thought of that.

Who threatened your hatch. Me oh my no! I would never threaten to paint obscene things all over the side and take your motor or any thing like that. You must have me confused with some other TJ:eek:
