hello all,
so today i was starting my friend's Cutlass, and i couldn't tell if the engine was running, so i turned it off and tried to start it again. when i did, i think i may have cranked the engine too long :banghead: . i let go of it as soon as i thought it started. i only held it for a second or less too long, i think...
do you think i could of hurt the car? it did start, and ran fine on the way home...

welcome to AF.
You can damage the starter or fly wheel.
Starter is cheap and easy to fix, flywheel ... not so much.
